2024 Benefits Open Enrollment Begins on Monday, 10/23!

Open Enrollment for the 2024 calendar year is active from Monday, October 23rd through Saturday, November 4th.

This is your opportunity to review your current coverage, consider any changes in your life this past year or any anticipated changes on the horizon in 2024.

Some important things to know as we approach Open Enrollment for 2024:

  • CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield remains our medical and prescription drug coverage provider in 2024
  • Following IRS rules, the annual deductible for the HSA plan has increased to $1,600 for self-only coverage and $3,200 for family coverage for in-network benefits
  • Medical rates increase by 14.5%
  • Dental coverage is still with MetLife, however rates increase by 6%
  • There are no changes to Vision benefits  -
    • Vision coverage is still with UHC Vision
  • If you decide to keep your same benefits coverage as you currently have in 2023, re-enrollment is only necessary if you would like to take advantage of a Health Care and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).

We’re showing our commitment to your well-being by offering meaningful and flexible benefits that support your physical, emotional, and financial health. It’s up to you to choose what’s right for you and your family.

  • Take Action

Log into our site employeebenefits.catholic.edu and make your elections by midnight on Saturday, November 4th. As a reminder, please use your Cardinal Credentials to login. Once logged in, click on the "Start Here" button to begin the enrollment process.

    Please note:

    • The 2024 Benefits Booklet and Summary of Benefits documents will be available during the week of Open Enrollment.

    • This year’s Open Enrollment period is a “passive enrollment.” That is, you will be auto-enrolled with your current benefits with the exception of the Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), if you do not make any changes during Open Enrollment. You do need to enroll if you will use FSA in 2024.
