  • CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield remains our medical and prescription drug coverage provider in 2026
  • Following IRS rules, the annual deductible for the HSA plan has increased to $1,700 for self-only coverage and $3,400 for family coverage for in-network benefits
  • The out-of-network deductible for the HSA plan has increased to $3,400/$6,800
  • Medical rates increase by 0.5%
  • Dental coverage is still with MetLife, however rates increase by 3.9%

We are showing our commitment to your well-being by offering meaningful and flexible benefits that support your physical, emotional, and financial health. It’s up to you to choose what’s right for you and your family.

  • NEW for 2026!

    Securian - Supplemental Health Benefits:
New supplemental health benefits offered through Securian can help ensure you have adequate insurance to protect your family when they need it most.

These new benefits for accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity insurance can provide cash payments that help bridge the gap between what your health insurance covers and your actual financial needs.

Payments are made directly to you and can be used however you choose—to cover deductibles, replace lost income, pay household bills, or handle unexpected expenses.

Comprehensive options to fit your needs:

    • Accident insurance provides cash payments for covered injuries and treatments resulting from accidents — perfect for active individuals or anyone who wants protection against unexpected mishaps.

    • Critical illness insurance delivers a lump-sum cash payment after diagnosis of covered conditions like heart attack, stroke, or cancer, helping you focus on recovery instead of financial stress.

    • Hospital indemnity insurance provides cash payments when you experience a hospital stay, including for planned surgeries, labor and delivery, or emergency stays.

The beauty of these products is they work together. If you're enrolled in multiple plans and experience a covered event, you could receive payments from each one. Visit our education microsite (securian.com/cua-insurance) for more information about your coverage options and costs, as well as educational resources.

CUA is now offering Spot Pet so you can have peace of mind and your pet’s well-being, on your terms anytime throughout the year.  This insurance covers dogs and cats with no age or breed restrictions and includes a preexisting clause that considers claims if your pet is treatment/symptom free for 180 days.
