2025 Benefits Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment for the 2025 calendar year is active from Monday, October 21st through 11:59 PM on Friday, November 1st.
This is your annual opportunity to review your current coverage, consider any changes in your life this past year or any anticipated changes on the horizon in 2025.
Some important things to know as we approach Open Enrollment for 2025:
- CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield remains our medical and prescription drug coverage provider in 2025
- The Basic PPO plan will shift to a more transparent model of copay for in-network office visits, instead of the deductible and coinsurance. In addition, the deductible and out of pocket maximums for the basic plan have increased.
- Following IRS rules, the annual deductible for the HSA plan has increased to $1,650 for self-only coverage and $3,300 for family coverage for in-network benefits
- Medical rates increase by 3%
- Dental coverage is still with MetLife, however rates increase by 2.1%
- There are no changes to Vision benefits -
- Vision coverage is still with UHC Vision
- If you decide to keep your same benefits coverage as you currently have in 2024, re-enrollment is only necessary if you would like to take advantage of a Health Care and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
We are showing our commitment to your well-being by offering meaningful and flexible benefits that support your physical, emotional, and financial health. It’s up to you to choose what’s right for you and your family.

This year’s Open Enrollment period is a “passive enrollment.” That is, you will be auto-enrolled with your current benefits with the exception of the Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), if you do not make any changes during Open Enrollment. You do need to enroll if you will use FSA in 2025.
